LOS ANGELES, California (AP)- In a display of canine political influence, America's "Worst Celebrity Dog Owner," Paris Hilton will be sent to prison for neglecting her Teacup Chihuahua. Although Hilton is officially charged with violating her probation from a previous DUI conviction, conspiracy theorists on the internet have no doubt why she is going to prison.
"You can't treat a Chihuahua like that, and get away with it." Said one dog owner who, along with over 60,000 others, has signed an online petition to send Paris to jail.
Hilton is scheduled to begin a 45 day prison sentence on June 5th. It is not yet known if the Whitehouse will request that she be transferred to a foreign prison where the Geneva Conventions barring torture do not apply.
